The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Wednesday alleged that more than 200 leaders and activists have been detained in Dhaka ahead of the Nayapaltan rally.
The party sources said leaders and activists from different districts arrived in the capital on Wednesday to take part in Thursday’s rally. They alleged that they were picked up from various entry points to the capital -- Kakrail, Fakirapool and Malibagh areas—at around 1pm.
