Former leaders of the Bangladesh Medical Association have demanded unconditional release of critically ill Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia and the government’s permission for her treatment abroad.

Former prime minister Khaleda is suffering from multiple critical diseases and must be taken abroad immediately for better treatment, said the former BMA leaders in a statement on Sunday.
