Condolence message of BNP Acting Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman

Prominent Islamic scholar, internationally renowned Mofasire Qur'an and former Member of Parliament Allama Maulana Delwar Hossain Sayeedi passed away today at 8:40 PM. (Inna Lillah wa Inna Ilaihe Rajiun). Acting Chairman of BNP Mr. Tarique Rahman has expressed deep grief and sorrow over his death.

In a condolence message today, the Acting Chairman of BNP said, “This death is very painful and has caused grief to the people of the country. An Islamic scholar like him and a man fearless in speaking the truth has create a deep void in the world. People will remember his contribution to Islam with gratitude. He was determined despite being in a state rage. Maulana Delwar Hussain Saeedi was a victim of judicial murder in a government conspiracy. He was a favorite figure for the religious people of Bangladesh in spreading Islamic knowledge in simple language. As a Member of Parliament, he has also left his mark of eloquence in the National Parliament. He is a respected scholar who will always be remembered with respect by the people of the country.

I pray for the eternal peace of his departed soul and offer my deepest condolences to the bereaved family members, devotees, well-wishers and well-wishers."
