Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has got permission from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) verbally for holding its rally in the capital on July 12.

BNP Publication Secretary Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anne informed this to the journalists after coming out from DMP office on Monday. 

Earlier, BNP sent a letter to the DMP commissioner seeking permission for holding its rally in the capital on July 12. However, the DMP did not give any response in this regard.

As a result, a BNP team headed by Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anne met DMP officials.
